Stefano and Stefania’s home is beautiful – gorgeous, warm and cosy with everything you need. It’s nestled between mountains and the lake and is a perfect retreat to get close to nature. There are mountain and lake hikes close by and it’s also a great base for exploring Campo Imperatore and the surrounding area. Stefano and Stefania are the most amazing hosts, helping us get settled into the house and giving so many great recommendations for restaurants and most importantly, all of the amazing hikes you can do in this area. We felt so welcome and would definitely recommend coming here for peace, quiet and connection to nature.

At the end of August and the beginning of September, my family and I spent a week vacation in Campotosto, in the province of L’Aquila, in the house owned by Stefano and Stefania, with a large green space and a view of the village lake and the Gran Sasso mountain range. A meticulously maintained home with exquisite stone and wood interiors, equipped with everything we needed to accommodate us, including linens in the comfortable bedrooms, a cozy living room, and a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a fireplace that, unfortunately, we were unable to use due to the mild climate. Wi-Fi, TV, a security system, a gas leak detector, and a ventilation system completed a truly complete package. The house’s grounds included a lawn with a green mantle and grass that was carefully cut every week, as well as delightful shaded areas equipped with two hammocks. Outside, there was also a sheltered area made of effective awnings with a large solid wood table for dining, as well as a barbecue with a supply of firewood. And last but not least, a garden you can ac ess, with superbly grown fresh produce.
But above all, we found the owners’ exquisite hospitality remarkable, as well as their human, competent, and prompt availability in responding to our every need. All this allowed us absolute tranquility and serenity during our unfortunately brief stay, and the much-needed refreshment upon our return from the countless enchanting excursions the area offers. We sincerely hope to relive this extraordinary experience in the future.

What can I say, everything perfect!!! Beautiful place, beautiful house, Stefania and Stefano beautiful people and Birba (their dog) very sweet!!! We have just returned i and already we are thinking of returning in October. If you are looking for a place to relax in the middle of the green, take walks, see exciting landscapes (the lake and the mountains are spectacular!!), this is the right place!!! If you then stay in a house like Stefania and Stefano’s that is perfect from all points of view (tastefully furnished, super equipped, very clean), your vacation is assured.

We spent a wonderful Easter holiday as a family (me, my wife and our two children aged 2 and 8 years). The newly renovated flat is cosy, warm and smells of wood. Equipped with every comfort, with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds, it made us feel at home straight away. The garden is large and well-kept, perfect for relaxing while the children play. The family dog, polite and very sweet, kept our children company for hours: they had so much fun playing ball together! A special mention goes to Stefano and Stefania, the owners: kind, helpful and always attentive, they welcomed us with warmth and hospitality. It is rare to find such an authentic place, where you really feel at home. An unforgettable Easter. Highly recommended for those seeking tranquility, nature and a sincere welcome.

We had a great time at Stefano and Stefania’s house. The location of the accommodation is great, quiet, surrounded by greenery and with a beautiful view of the lake and, in the distance, beautiful mountains. Stefano also gave us lots of useful tips on routes and restaurants in the area, which were already sorted in an easy-to-read file. He was always easily accessible and responsive to our questions. Even in winter the house is well heated, and I imagine it’s even better in summer.

I was already in love with Lake Campotosto, but living it from Stefano’s house was a unique experience … the view, the silence interrupted only by animals (and my dogs), the infinity of stars to contemplate (in fact I brought my telescope and I would absolutely recommend this place to astrophiles like me) for me would be enough for what I paid.
Stefano’s house is simply beautiful, cozy (like him), warm, comfortable and equipped with everything you need.una pacchia for our dogs who were able to romp safely.
Stephen is also an exquisite person, explains everything about the house and beyond (excursions, food, surroundings), and chat with him is really a pleasure.

We thoroughly enjoyed the house, having a well-equipped and well-maintained outdoor space with sun loungers, hammocks, barbecue and a large table for outdoor lunch and dinner. Inside the spaces are comfortable, very clean and equipped with all the necessities. Stefano was extremely hospitable, he made us feel at home. He was present and helpful and suggested us all the activities to do in the area.

The accommodation is new with fine finishes, extremely clean and has all the comforts, surrounded by a beautiful garden overlooking the lake and with sunbeds for sunbathing, nature in nature.
The location is strategic, from the plains of Castelluccio di Norcia to Gran Sasso d’Italia.
Several routes are right behind the house, from which you can see the Campotosto lake from above, spectacular🤩
Stefano is an expert in trekking and knows all the routes, he recommended a route on the Gran Sasso that we had never done and we were fascinated😍
For those looking for tranquility, nature and scenic routes is the top!
Stefano and Stefania then are two very helpful and kind people, who go well beyond the host’s expertise!
My daughter and I had a great time and will definitely return.

Stefano and Stefania are really delightful, kind and friendly, they have a lot of care and attention to their guests.
The house is very nice, brand new and the cleanliness is impeccable.
The garden is large and perfect for four-legged friends, the vegetable garden and its delicacies available were very much appreciated by us. You can get to the lake with a 15-20 minute walk through a nature trail, but that part of the coast is very marshy and muddy, not suitable if you want to get to the water. In the surrounding area there are several spots that are much more accessible and can also be reached with a 5-10 minute drive.
We had a great time, both us and our big dog, who enjoyed the coolness in the garden in the company of Birba and her inseparable ball.

This house is in a great location close to many hiking trails with good access to nearby national parks. The surroundings are peaceful and picturesque. The lodge is cosy, clean and very well furnished. Stefano and Stefania are warm and friendly hosts and even gave us a tour of their home town (Ascoli Piceno) . Definitely one of our best Airbnb experiences to date. We hope to return soon!

We stayed 3 nights inside the structure and we did not find anything negative, starting from the check-in that we arrived very late in the evening for an unforeseen and the owner, very kind person waited up to welcome us.
The house is very well equipped, from the crockery to the various appliances, even bottles of water on arrival and a machine with pods (Lavazza).
The decor reflects perfectly the pictures published, new and well cared for.
Outside there is a large green space excellent for those with children, chairs and table available for breakfast or lunch.
Mr. Stephen and Mrs. Stefania are very kind and make you feel at ease right away, they can give you a lot of advice on the area and where to lunch and dinner or the various excursions to do.
We will return for sure.
